The Grove was situated on Fylde Road. This pub was compulsorily purchased in 1962 for demolition, under the Housing Act of 1957. It was actually replaced with a portacabin for a while, also called the Grove to retain the license. A large car salesroom was built on its site. It was actually directly opposite The Doctor Syntax which closed c2007.
