The Drovers Arms was situated on Aqueduct
Street. This Lion brewery pub closed c1979 and has now
been demolished. |

My
parents were landlord and landlady here in the 1950s (where I was born). My
grandfather, Richard Sumner was for many years the landlord of the
New Cock Inn (1952 to 1966). |
