The Rising Sun was situated at 27 High Street
(on right hand side of above photo).
This pub opened in 1850 and closed in 1964 when the publican was Dudley
Warrington. Publican in 1916 was Henry Graves, in 1946 George Meekings. |

My work colleague and I stayed here
( bed&breakfast) while working locally at least twice. At one time we
remember a funfair was also in Swavesey or very near to. We believe the
landlords changed also during this period. We remember always being made
welcome |
