Station Hotel

 

The Station Hotel was situated on Station Road.
 
In 1972 rented rooms in the Station Hotel were the first place we lived after getting married. We had to share a bathroom with the owners. I once bathed and went to get dressed, went back to the bathroom to tidy up only to find the owner had already been in and cleaned and as punishment took all of the decorative items out of the bathroom! My then husband served at the RAF hospital Ely.
