Prince Of Wales

The Prince Of Wales was situated on Station Road. This pub was closed and demolished in the 1970s with housing built on the site.

I am 66 and was born in March, Cambs.  I remember that the Prince of Wales was the first pub that I went into (underage) at age 16 (c1969/1970). It was a Greene King pub and bitter was 2 shillings (10p) a pint, or 1 shilling and a penny for half a pint. I bought a half pint of bitter, and sat sipping it quietly, hoping that I wouldn’t be caught. I wasn’t.
