The White Horse was situated on May Street. This grade-II listed pub is now in residential use.
 
Listed building details:
Inn now a house. Late C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-framed and claybat, rendered; high brick plinth. Thatched roof to right hand range and low pitched slated roof to left hand. Plastered red brick stack at junction with two, two storey ranges. Four ground floor and four smaller first floor three -light casement windows. Two C20 doors to left; and right hand. Range to right hand possibly earlier with rear outshut, range to left hand raised over cellar with external entrance from street. Interior: Chamfered cross beams and axial beams, back to back hearths with baking oven, and inglenook.
