The Black Horse was situated on Station Road. This pub was present by 1843 and closed in 1960.
I was married at the Baptist Church in June 1961. We needed kitchen equipment. We spotted in the local newspaper that someone had a Hoover Spinarinse. Just what we needed. Opposite the Baptist Church was a pub, near it was a Telephone Kiosk, so I rang from there and made the deal. Apparently the pub had closed the year before, but the building still looked like one
