A pair of cottages, later Golden
Ball public house, and now one dwelling. 1795. In C19 a small, brick service
wing was added at the rear. Timber-frame of light scantling, plaster
rendered with a mansard roof, tiled. Ridge stack. Plan of single range of
four bays. One storey and attics. Four dormers. The four windows at ground
floor include horizontal sliding sashes and a small bow window which,
although repaired, is possibly original. There were originally two doorways,
only one now remains. |
