The Beldon Hotel was situated on Otley Road. This pub closed in 1971 and has now been demolished.

I can tell you where the sign went when this pub closed. It resided in the bedroom of a well known Bradford photographer.

When I was at school at Hanson 1960’ish, the lads who lived in Greengates would catch the 67 outside the pub, (maybe 20 yds north) and because I collected beer mats, I would pop in to see if they had any. Inside was like someone’s living room, but I remember it closing sometime before I left for Canada 1970, and I don’t think it was demolished, I think “Steak N Bake” is in the North half and a house in the South part …..
On one of my visits back home, I did a photo essay of a lot of my favorite pubs, some of which don’t exist any more Roebuck, Ring’a’Bells….etc.
