The Seven Stars was situated at 927-929
Harrogate Road and is to be converted to an Italian restaurant. The
publican, Kevan Worral, was found dead in 2009. In 2010 a barman was tried
and convicted of his murder. |

My friends and I used to frequent this pub in
the late 60's-early 70's. The landlord was Rex Baggeley Cane, one of the
stunning barmaids was called Andrea.
We went on a trip to Blackpool with the darts/football team 1969 (ish) with
a stop at a place in Clitheroe for an absolutely sumptuous breakfast! We
couldn't get over(!?,) the beer crates in the aisle of the coach - or the
guys urinating out of the bus door on the way past Preston on the way home.
Great days! |
