Bradford Road. This grade-II listed pub
was renamed The Thirsty Beggar in the 1990s, the The Forresters. It closed
in 1999. |

building details: |
Inn. Late C17. Coursed rubble stone,
stone slate roof with coped verges and stone stacks. Two-storey, 3-window.
Central 6-panelled door with flat stone hood on brackets, 3-light beaded
mullioned casement to left and two 6-pane fixed windows with dripstones to
right. First floor has 3-light beaded mullioned casement and two 2-light
recessed cyma-mullioned casements to right with one hoodmould, quoins over
door suggest right part of first floor is later than left part. Left return
has small horizontal sash. Rear parallel range with 4-pane sashes. |
