The Wicket Inn was situated on Lea Road. Originally the Gate Inn, the pub was renamed a century ago as the Hanging Wicket, which in time got shortened to the Wicket, a term for a small gate within a larger one. After spending four years as the Tolk Inn it  was renamed to The Wicket before closing. It is now in private residential use. Present by 1851 when the publican was Richard Dale.
