The Royal Oak
was situated on Sewardstone Road and was also known as Venners or Freddies
to avoid confusion with another Royal Oak in Chingford. The alternative
names come from the family of Terry Venables, the football manager, who
owned the pub. This pub has now been demolished and replaced by the
care home in the photo below. |
