The Adam & Eve was situated at 126 Abbey Road.
This pub was established by 1732,
initially amid the ruins of Stratford Abbey. It was rebuilt in around 1900
and closed and was demolished in 1994. In its latter years at least it was
a Charrington’s house. It had earlier closed in 1944 following damage during
an air raid, however reopened in 1948. |
