Plashet Road. This pub has now been demolished and replaced by flats. |

My grandparents ran this pub, Con
Collins and Dora Collins . Con was a local conservative councillor and died
early , Dora ran the pub for many years after with her son Dennis Collins ,
she had a daughter Joan ( my mum ) d 2010 rip !!! A big pub with saloon bar
with 2 snooker tables , a stage for gigs, and a juke box , a public bar ,
and a small off sales with separate door in the middle , covered with green
tiles on the outside , |

The owners were Phill and Angie Rogers. I met my husband
there I was a bar maid my hubby was a head barman ,there was a lady
called Edna worked there along with Doreen Kacy and myself great times
one bar was Irish and the other bat was rasta ferian great times and
trouble free. |

I was there every Saturday
afternoon with my Dad. The people running T the time were Dave his mum
and his sister occasionally. I have some great memories of that Pub. I
used to play pool a lot there. |
