The Bowling Green was situated at 6 Main Road. This was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949. It is now used as a bridal shop.

Back in the 70's, The Bowling Green was our go to place for playing Bar Billiards. It was in the lounge to the left as you went in. The saloon was to the right. The Gents was in an outside building - not very salubrious even back then.
