The Black Goats was situated at 303 High Street.
Present by 1811, it was built on the site of an earlier pub, The Three Goats, derived from the three gowts, or drains, which
drained the Swan Pool, a large lake to the west of Lincoln. The pub was
situated at High Bridge, on the bank of the largest of these drains. It
closed c1907 and was
later used as The Hotel Central. Now demolished with retail
units built on the site. |
