The Old Red Lion was situated on the High Street. Next door to it, was, and still is, another pub with the same name known as the Red Lion Inn and still a thriving pub to this day. Apart from having two Red Lion's side-by-side what is also odd is the pub known as the Red Lion Inn has a date of 1650 which, quite possibly, actually makes it older than the Old Red Lion now. The Old Red Lion was demolished c1965.
