at 160 Regent Road on the corner of Sandhills Lane. This pub was demolished
in 1998. |

My grandfather was manager of this place until he died in 1900. He was
called Charles Rostock and had also been a policeman. It was nicknamed The
German House as my grandfathers full name was Ludwig Herwich Carle Rostock. |
