The Sandhills was situated at 160 Regent Road on the corner of Sandhills Lane. This pub was demolished in 1998.

My grandfather was manager of this place until he died in 1900. He was called Charles Rostock and had also been a policeman. It was nicknamed The German House as my grandfathers full name was Ludwig Herwich Carle Rostock.
