The Rose & Crown was situated at 76 Ermine Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in 1927 and is now in residential use.
Listed building details:
Circa 1700, altered early C19. Plastered front. 2 storeys and attic. Ground floor has bow windows with bracket support on either side of 6-panel door with fanlight and shell hood. Archway to left. Band at 1st floor level. 4 sashes with marginal glazing. Cornice, old tile roof with 2 flat topped dormers, brick stacks. Brick rear wing.
