The Cricketers was situated at 28 Heath End Road. This pub was present by 1871 when Ellen Hedges was the publican. Its licence was revoked in 2019 after a decade of problems that included serving alcohol to underage patrons and high levels of cocaine in the toilets, and in December 2018 there was a fatal attack on a customer in the car park. It was renamed The Do Drop Inn and closed permanently c2021 when it was converted into an Indian restaurant.

The Indian restaurant closed in early 2023.  In July 2023 the site was rebranded/reopened as The Elephant pub/restaurant.
