The Drum & Monkey was situated on Ivy Bank. This pub was closed after the main route from Whaley Bridge to Chapel-en-le-Frith was changed from Eccles Road to the current B5470. The Board Inn on Chapel Road was subsequently renamed to The Drum & Monkey.
