The Crescent was situated on Warwick Road. This pub was built in 1932 and closed in January 2007, at which time it was known as The White House.
Hi, I visited this pub in late March/early April 1998 while I was staying in Carlisle at a B&B before heading east towards Newcastle.  I started the evening at Finnegan’s Wake and fell in with a group of local guys and gals who took me under their wing and we went pubbing all night!  I never once paid for my beers!  I raise my glass to them! We ended up at the White House.  It was crowded with a good live band. At the end of the night I stumbled back to my B&B after stopping somewhere for a late night order of fish & chips.  I had a great time!  Im saddened to see that the White House has closed.
