Name Dates Comments Lyn Wood 1990-1994 Whitbread Brewery took over this pub as their 'sports club'. Beer was very cheap and some good social events took place.  Unfortunately is closed due to lack of support. Mark Downs 1991 I well remember visiting the pub on a short break visiting my late mothers family.I had travelled up from Gloucestershire and was astonished at the quality of the couple of pints of Whitbread Trophy.It was unrecognisable compared to the swill/dishwater I was used to down south.Happy memories!
