The Hen & Chickens was situated at 3 Castle Green. This Enterprise Inns pub closed c2022.  The pub used to b frequented by Solicitors and legal staff from the nearby Magistrates courts. it was the pub used as a location for filming on Channel 4 drama "The Virtues" starring Stephen Graham and written/directed by Shane Meadows. The regulars were used as extras, with the director putting cash behind the bar for them.
