The New Inn was situated at 183 Duke Street.

This pub was owned by my Grandmother Elizabeth (Lizzie) Benson and my grandfather Horace Benson they owned the pub throughout the war and until they retired in the 60's. My grandmother had a secondhand shop under the pub. My Uncle Tom Benson played the piano in the concert room and my mother would sing on the stage.
