The Clarendon was situated at the junction of
High Street and West Dyke Road. Originally opened 1845 as The Railway Hotel
(adjacent to the Railway Station), but renamed The Clarendon in 1861 when
the Station moved. This pub closed 6th January 2016. |

once more and was given new planning approval in 2020. It has reopened as a
shop, the House of Foliage, selling plants and accessories. |
