The Slip Inn was situated on Slip Inn Bank, Ladgate Lane. I recall from the early 1960s being told there (once) was a pub called 'The Slip Inn' on Slip Inn Bank which was then part of Ladgate Lane. In the 1960s Ladgate Lane at this spot was realigned to avoid the steep bank.  The buildings are not there now, only a relatively new care home. I also recall that after the bank road became isolated, two teenagers tragically died on the bank after freewheeling downhill there on an old motorcycle.
