The Park End was situated on Penistone Road. This pub closed in September 2018, after the landlady lost her licence, having been convicted of illegally screening live Premier League football matches. No-one was found to take over the licence (family not allowed to). There had also been a drive-by shooting in 2013, for which offence no-one was ever found, a stabbing, and a Halloween Party brawl. Since then the property has become derelict and Middlesbrough Council has included it in a list of derelict properties it will compulsorily purchase, if site owners refuse to sell.

The pub, closed since 2018 and suffering fire damage in 2019 is now likely to be demolished, with bungalows being built on the site.
