The Gables was situated on Hemlington Village Road. Rising costs have forced the closure of the pub. The current landlords have been in charge for ten years. Initially closed from Tuesday 22 Jan 2024 for a week for essential electrical work, the landlords announced on the 30th the pub would not reopen.
