The Corner House was situated at 8 Exchange Place.

I don't know when this became a pub, for all of my childhood it was Winterschladen's Wine and Spirts shop. My mother told me that during the war the shop was attacked and all the windows broken because of the German name, even though the family had been in the town for many years.
