The Commercial Inn was situated at 7 Commercial Street.

In 1861 the innkeeper was Thomas Grange and his wife Elizabeth (Nee Crowe). Their daughter, Ann Elizabeth, married William Ainslie Harrison on 30th January 1860. He was the grandfather of Jack Harrison VC, MC the Hull teacher and rugby player who died in 1917.
