John Bean 1950/1959 My parents Walter and Emily Bean were staff at this pub. I was taken along as a child 2 to 10 years of age about 2 nights and both weekend nights a week. My dad was a waiter and also performed singing on the stage at weekends. I recall the surname of the manager in the earlier years, was Dews. It was then run by Alan Armitage. He moved on around 1958 to run a pub in Shipley. My father ran the pub on Alan's nights off and holiday periods.
Wayne Rainford 1961/1963 My mum & dad , ronnie & peggy rainford ran the pub for acouple of years or so, before moving on to the granville pub on lincoln green rd in 1963!
