The Brownroyd

The Brownroyd was situated at 339 Thornton Road.
I worked there in 1987/8 when it was owned by Ray Buck who went on to have
the Flagship in the centre of Bradford. It closed c1990 and became
Windsor's World Of Shoes. Well known for the strippers on a Sunday lunch
time and local band Terrorvision doing a gig in the car park. |

When this pub was built in 1970, by German
builder, Bill Bendrein, it replaced the original Brownroyd on the opposite
side of the road. |
