The Kings Head was situated at 69 Halifax Road. This pub closed in 2009. In 2007 the publican, Andrew Ayres, was murdered in the car park. The pub was a former coaching inn on the Halifax to Bradford turnpike and was built c1800-30. It opened as a children’s nursery in 2013.
