My great grandparents were landlords of this pub. It was situated between Denton street and the Great Northern coal depot Bradford my grandad John Holgate held the licence in 1917 but by 1921 the licence transferred to my great grandmother Elizabeth Hanna Holgate. My late father said his mother Lillian Holgate was the pub pianist and was very popular .
