The White Hart Hotel was situated on Rooley Lane.I was landlord here from 1985 until 1988 moving due to the terms of the new agreements, i.e. 20 year full repairing leases. the general state that the brewers had allowed their properties to deteriorate into and the expected rent, a tripling of the previous rent left us no option but to leave the premises. unfortunately I know little about the history of the place save that there were derelict rooms upstairs that had been used as meeting rooms in the past. This Samuel Websters pub has now been demolished and stood were Asda now stands on Rooley Lane.
