The Imperial Hotel was a Melbourne Ales pub kept
by my grandfather in the mid 1940s. The Dudley Hill rugby league club was
based at The Imperial in the 1950s where players changed when playing home
games. It was demolished and replaced by the
De Lacey Hotel. |

One of my fathers anecdotes, who was
born in Bradford in 1938. "Playing rugby ensured I got a nice shower after
training or playing. I actually installed the immersion heater at Dudley
Hill headquarters, which was the Imperial Hotel on Tong Street, long since
demolished" |
