Masons Arms

The Masons Arms was situated on Stott Hill. This beer house was closed and demolished in 1888 to make way for road widening. It was used for meetings by Henry Ripley MP’s election committee in 1868. The last publican was Isabella Woolley, a mother of six, whose husband deserted her.
