This pub was the home of a Royal
Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes Lodge called the Gladness Lodge (no 9675
I think). It was a highly successful lodge and did a lot to keep the
Morning Star a reasonably profitable business for the Landlord Eric.
Almost every man who frequented the pub was a member of the RAOB at that
time the lodge would meet upstairs in the dedicated Lodge room. |
