I live in one of the upstairs flats of the former Rampant Lion . This is the coldest dampest property I have ever lived in. I intend to relocate shortley. The neighbours are lovely; including the ghostly figures that have visited me on two occasions now. THey are hard to describe , but I will endeavour to do my best. First encounter ,2 somewhat humanoid beings approximately 5 foot tall ,(1 .5 Mtrs) . These stood by the foot of my bed , I could sense them staring at me , although they had no distinguishable facial features, a round head and a somewhat angelic looking body. Best described as a circle with triangular flowing robes , somewhat translucent but not exactly. They did not speak but observed, I felt no fear but an amazing presence. This encounter was approximately 2am. Next night . The same or very similar two humanoids or ghosts were joined by a further three said looking objects, these however were shorter in stature. 3 foot 6 inches to 4ft maximum (1.2 mtrs). I am now fully awake watching them , whilst they watched me . I felt surrounded, unable to move . But once again I did not experience fear . This is the strangest experience I have ever experienced in my entire life. This happened approximately 2 months ago. No further apparitions as yet. But the flat refuses to become warm no matter the heating cost. This is a true statement.

The story of the ghosts I can perhaps shed some light on. Benjamin Bull is listed in trade directories in 1888 as licensee of TheRampant Lion but died soon after. Elizabeth Bullus, wife of Benjamin then became the licensee of the Rampant Lion for 12 years from 1888-1900. She issued a green beer bottle embossed "E Bullus, Kidderminster." They are buried in
Kidderminster cemetery. She had 15 childen, six of which died by the age of 7. Their grave in Kidderminster cemetery reads:

"In Loving Memory of Benjamin Bullus born Decr 29th 1830 died August
9th 1888. Also of Benjamin Isaac his youngest child, born Novr 1st 1876
died Febry 26th 1884. Also of five children who died in their infancy.
Also of Mary Elizabeth Bullus the beloved wife of Benjamin Bullus born
Jany 3th 1831 died Novr 3rd 1902"

Perhaps some of these children are the smaller ghosts that Steve Hammond saw in 2022 and the two larger ones their parents? Ancestry.co.uk shows their other children survived into adulthood; many of them served in the pub trade.
