The Chester Tavern was situated at 217 Chester Road. Following closure this pub reopened as a freehouse in private ownership c2009, and after operating as a locals’ pub it closed again in June 2019 following the death of the owner. A planning application to convert to four flats was submitted in 2021.
Reopened in 2022.
