building details: |
Public house. Probably C18, extended
to rear and remodelled in mid C19. Rendered, brick rear ranges, with ashlar
and brick ridge stacks, and slate roof. Single-depth plan with 2 rear wings
and right-hand rear courtyard. Single storey with attic and cellar;
3:2-window range. A long front with coped left-hand gable, right hand keyed,
segmental-arched carriage entrance, and a central open Tuscan portico with
steps up.
Paired outer horned plate-glass sashes, and a single sash to the left of the
entrance, and pilaster jambs to hipped attic windows just breaking the eaves
with 6/6-pane sashes. Interior: ground floor altered, otherwise not
inspected. |
