The Sailors Return was situated in Watery Lane at the corner with Great Barr Street in the Bordesley area of the city

This pub was built by the Vicar of Aston, Dr Spencer, for a sailor named John Parkes who had served under the command of the Vicar's officer son at the Battle of the Nile in 1798. The building was demolished in the 1970s or early 1980s.
