The Talbot


The Talbot was situated on Moat Lane. This pub stood where the four storey building with the blue door now stands in the above photo. It was bombed in the Second World War but kept going, even though the building above the ground floor was gone. up until the 1960s. It was then demolished and replaced by the office buildings in the photo below, which is called Talbot House in tribute to the original pub. The pub licence was transferred to a newly built pub nearby given the same name but nowadays called the Bull Ring Tavern.
