Janet Williams 1968 I used to work at The Pilot from March 1968 for a year. It was then owned by Major? who had it built. It was a really lovely pub with an eclectic crowd. The Harbourmaster, customs people, sailors, couples families etc used to use it. Young and old mixed together .I went back about 15 years ago and it was awful. Not as bad as described in 2010 but not the place I knew. I met the love of my life in that pub so it was very special to me.
