The Ashley Arms was situated at Halfway Green, closing c1990. This pub has now demolished and replaced by offices.

I remember this pub very well. Used to go occasionally. Had a lovely little snug bar at the rear and customers could also sit outside on the green space now built on. Was during my time run buy a bit of a character allegedly gay (so I was told) ex RAF man and his mother I don't know why it closed but was sad it did. Shame as it had character both the in terms of who ran it and the actual building
