Apps Court Tavern

The Apps Court Tavern was situated on Terrace Road. on the corner of what is now Sunnyside (Road). It was built in the early 1900s for the labourers employed to build the nearby Knight and Bessborough Reservoirs. The tavern was named after Apps Court House, a 14th century mansion, demolished to make way for the water treatment works.

The tavern was demolished in the early 1960s.
