The Horseshoe was situated at 745 London Road. Built in 1869, the Tudor-styled Horseshoe was, along with The Plough and The Wheatsheaf, one of a trio of pubs which surrounded the former Thorton Heath Pond (now covered over by a roundabout). The pub closed in 2017 and is under the threat of demolition, with plans to build flats on the site.
