The Fountainhead was situated at 114 Parchmore
Road. This pub closed in 2008. It has now been demolished and replaced by
flats and houses. |
|
This pub hasn’t been demolished, but is still as it
appears in your picture. I believe it is being used as accommodation by a
large number
of builders, but it doesn’t look like they are working on the pub itself. |

I remember as a child my father
belonging to the fishing club which was based at the Fountain, they also
had a bowling green. My father used to take me there as a child on a
Sunday lunch time when I would have a lemonade with a drop of beer and
an arrowroot biscuit, |
